Step into the magical world of Harry Potter and see the magic happening in front of your eyes. This magical tour of the world of Harry Potter will start from Victoria at your chosen time. You will be taken on a comfortable bus to the Harry Potter studio. The transfer will take about one hour and thirty minutes, and then you will spend approximately 4 hours in the magical world of Harry Potter.

  • Experience filmmaking magic at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter
  • Step into the Great Hall, walk down Diagon Alley, and visit Dumbledore’s office
  • See actual costumes and props from all eight Harry Potter films
  • Return transport from Central London departing at least every hour
  • Several Departures occur almost every hour

The Harry Potter Studio Tour lasts approximately 7 hours, You can catch the Harry Potter bus from any of the meeting points. The harry potter bus will take you to the studio in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. You will be greeted by our designated staff, who will get you into the studio and advise you about the meeting time once you have finished the tour.

Pass through a gate flanked by Death Eaters in masks to get right into Aragog’s lair from the Great Hall in the Forbidden Forest. One of the most iconic sets is Platform 9¾, where the Hogwarts Express is seen in the background for the very first and last times in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, respectively. During the tour, you can visit Diagon Alley, home to Ollivanders Wand Shop, where over 17,000 wand boxes are individually labeled.

The permanent version of Professor Sprout’s Greenhouse opened this summer on the Studio Tour. Be wary of the venomous Tentacula hanging from the ceilings as you enter to see where students took Herbology classes. Examine a wide variety of magical and unusual plants, as well as the chance to pull a mandrake out of a pot as part of an interactive display.

The Animatronics

A basilisk monster was created with visual and practical effects to live in the Chamber of Secrets. Its 30-foot-long, 3-foot-deep jaws were open to consume Harry. The buckbeak of the hippogriff, one of the most well-liked characters from the book (after Hedwig, of course), is also visible. Buckbeak had three forms—one standing, one rearing, and one resting—and each feather was individually glued on.

The Props

There are a lot of original props at the Studios, and it’s thrilling to see your favourite, whether it’s the Elder Wand or the Golden Snitch. In the Potions Classroom, you can see over 950 potion jars with unique props inside them, and in Professor Dumbledore’s office, you can see 900 memory vials and labels. Did you know that over 130 plates were used to decorate Professor Umbridge’s office, which was astonishingly pink? Filmmakers had to photograph and film real kittens playing with crystal balls, witch’s hats, and balls of wool. It sounds like fun at the office!

The Hogwarts Castle model is one of the highlights of the tour. A team of 86 artists and crew members created the first version of the castle, which was digitally enhanced to create an unforgettable view of the school. With 2,500 fibre optic lights that flicker to create the illusion of students walking through the hallways, real gravel and plants, and man hours that went into creating the model, you can imagine how long it took!

The Art Department

Many fans may be surprised to learn that their favourite special effects are actually real! The slithering door to the Chamber of Secrets was often mistaken for a visual effect, but it was a fully operational door, as was the incredibly intricate Gringotts bank door.

There is a lot more to the tour; we will leave that to your imagination and curiosity of the tour.
